Ghajini ~ Rahman is back with Aamir Khan

28 10 2008

Aamir Khan’s Ghajini was slated for a Diwali release this year, but it had to be postponed because Aamir suffered a ligament injury. Not satisfied by this decision, Aamir wanted to create some kind of buzz for the film. Now he is releasing the promos of the film today.

Some source close to Aamir Khan said, “Originally, even when Aamir was making Taare Zameen Par, he had planned a Diwali release for Ghajini. But because of his ligament injury he had to take a break for two months as he couldn’t shoot for the stunts.

So the release had to be postponed. But Aamir was hell-bent on having a Diwali release, even if it was only the promos. He decided to release at least the first moving visuals on Diwali.”

Since the past fifteen days, Aamir has been slogging to complete the promos on time. The source continued, “Aamir has been working non-stop in order to meet the deadline. He requested A R Rahman to put aside his other commitments and come to Mumbai to work on the background score of the promos.

Rahman, who generally doesn’t work outside Chennai, gave in to this last minute request and came to Mumbai. He has been working in a Mumbai lab for the past four days, only on Aamir’s insistence. Being such a perfectionist, he didn’t want to compromise on anything at all.”

Producer, Madhu Varma confirmed the report and said, “When we had started the project, it was supposed to be a Diwali 2008 release. Unfortunately, Aamir injured himself on the sets during one of the action scenes and we were not able to release the film on Diwali. Now we are releasing the first visuals of the film today.”

The lion roars and the roar is deafening. The lion here is none other than Aamir Khan. The actor, known for enacting a wide variety of roles in his illustrious career, is ready to traverse into a new territory with GHAJINI. In fact, every time an Aamir starrer is about to release, it turns into an event.

The keenly anticipated GHAJINI hit headlines when the producers revealed the first look of the film — Aamir’s stunning physique — last week. Right from news channels to newspapers to blogs, Aamir’s look was the topic of discussion within and outside the industry.

Now let’s talk of the promo. It’s spell-binding, it leaves you yearning for more, in fact your ‘hunger’ for the film increases manifold thanks to this promo. First Aamir’s all-new, 8-pack abs catch your attention. Later, the promo changes dramatically, with a foot stomping viciously on someone’s head, followed by Aamir’s eye staring at you and then, he punches someone so hard, it’s unbelievable.

The promo truly lives up to the expectations of the most anticipated film of the year. Watch out!

Hi Farzad: Great insight as always, thank you! One cannot be an Aamir Khan fan and not be a fan of A. R. Rahman (not sure about vice versa, you tell me!) — they’ve had some fantastic soundtracks before, and Ghajini’s should be very interesting. The music is really quite good, I’m expecting something more urban, maybe a cross between Jaane Tu (youthful) and Ada (soulful), if that makes sense. Would be interested to know your take.

Also, following up to Mohammed Aslam’s comment, if you find out when the audio will release, it would be great if you let us know.

Best wishes,

While almost everyone knows that Aamir’s Ghajini is a Hindi remake of the same titled Tamil movie, very few know that the Tamil (or say, original???) Ghajini is actually heavily inspired from the Hollywood’s highly appraised blockbuster MEMENTO by “THE DARK KNIGHT” fame director CHRISTOPHER NOLAN.

Aamir khan is very over confident.
He is simply a crap . He steals all the matter from other actors. Even i say that rajpal yadav is good than him. Nobody knows the real story. Everyone is blind. Just a nonsense.

i think i will release on 22nd of Nov.. This is as per Wiki .. Not sure but.. 22nd looks for too long for me.. may be Ghajini team is waiting for yuvvraaj music release.. We expect yuvvraaj music will grow once movie is released. so it can create problem for Ghajni music release.. Just a thought. Not sure what will happen… but one thing is sure music will be gr8 as Yuvvraaj’s music.. I think Sir A R Rahman is planing for clean sweep in all awards.. We can imagine the best muisc of area nominations…

Hi all.
I have taken Ghajini CD. Songs are very good. My fav track is “Kaise Mujhe” sung by benny dayal and Shreya. Its really a amzing song. I think this song is in class of “Tu muskura” from yuvvraaj. Really amzing. Then Guzarish is also good. I like Aye Bachhoo also after 2-3 listen. I think after say 4-5 time listening songs will grow. but Kaise mujhe was instant cachy. Again gem from A R Rahman. I am also waiting for slumdog millionaire sound track. If let me know when it will come to india,. Really waiting for it … what you feel about Ghajini song tracks.

I really don’t know whether Mr. AR really reads this blog spot or not. Any way I just wanted to communicate one of my simple thought …..

Today I was hearing the songs of Ghajini and one of the thing which I regularly finding in most of the songs is the tune to “tututu tututu tututu”. I have been hearing this tune since the songs of ‘Sivaji’ and almost all the movies after that that this ‘audio sample’ [if I am right].

Sir please don’t use this sample again … it is too much now
